Innovations in Energy and the Environment (InnoEE) is an international scientific conference, organised by the Faculty of Power Engineering and Power Machines at the Technical University of Sofia. It is held annually during the Days of Science activities at the Technical University of Sofia and this year is its 29th edition. The conference has become one of the biggest traditional scientific forums, gathering Bulgarian and foreign experts from academia, industry and the government, involved in energy engineering, fluids and thermofluids engineering, building services engineering, textile engineering, as well as other engineering and scientific disciplines, related to the thematic sections of the conference:

  • Renewable Energy Technologies

    incl. renewable heating, cooling and power generation; solar, wind, hydro, marine, bio and geothermal energy; smart grids; energy systems engineering

  • Fluid Mechanics, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer in Energy and Environmental Applications

    incl. advancements in thermal-fluids engineering, thermal energy storage, heat exchangers, industrial thermal processes and systems, combustion technologies, cryogenics

  • HVAC and Refrigeration Systems, Indoor Environmental Quality, and Energy Performance of Buildings

The conference will be held at the premises of the Technical University of Sofia on 14-15 May 2024. The venue is the newly renovated Building 8 of TU-Sofia. The conference sessions will take place in the hall named after Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov – a renowned Bulgarian scientist and aviation engineer. The building also houses multiple brand new laboratories of the National Center for Mechatronics and Clean Technologies. A gala dinner in a nearby location will be organized for all participants on the evening of the first day of the conference. You can refer to the conference programme for more information.
